Great Dane puppy food requirements
The ideal food should meet the following dietary needs of the pup.

Protein level should between 23% and 26%

A cup of food should have roughly 350 calories.

Fat content should between 12% and 16%

Ideally the food should have at least 2 protein sources

Calcium should be around 1.3%

Trace minerals are needed.
Most of you have heard you should never feed a Great Dane pup, puppy food, well times are changing. Not every puppy food is appropriate or is every adult food right for a Great Dane your best bet is look for a food as close to the
above requirements as possible.
When feeding your Dane you should elevate their food. Limit exercise an hour before and after eating. Limit water intake an hour after eating. These things are help reduce the risk of bloat. A lot of new studies that are coming out have attributed bloat as more genetic but it doesn't hurt to follow these guidelines as well.
